Springfield Castle in Drumcollogher is the ancestral home of Lord and Lady Muskerry. The castle is situated in the heart of County Limerick on a 200 acre wooded estate and is approached along a magnificent three-quarter-mile long avenue, lined with ancient lime trees. Guests may relax and unwind in an historic Irish castle.
Springfield Castle can accommodate up to 25 people in what are effectively two ‘castles’; the Castle itself, and the newly renovated East Tower wing. The location is ideal for large family reunions and gatherings, celebrations and special events, as well as small intimate weddings. Guests can rent the whole Castle or have the option to just rent one part to suit a group size.
The Castle sleeps up to 15 persons in eight bedrooms and has six bathrooms. The East Tower sleeps ten persons with three double rooms in the tower, all with bathrooms ensuite, and the Clock suite with a double and an adjoining twin-single bedded room, with bath and shower room ensuite. The bedrooms and bathrooms at the castle are each individual and are furnished with antique furniture. The two ‘castles’ are both fully equipped with their own entrances, courtyards, hallways, dining rooms, kitchens and drawing rooms. Whether guests rent all of the property or just one part, they will enjoy privacy and luxury.
Leisure facilities on the premises include a sauna for relaxation, full sized snooker/billiard table, table tennis, and a hard-court tennis court. There is a children's playground in the central courtyard.
Guests may enjoy the seclusion that Springfield Castle offers but it is also ideally suited for day visits to the best attractions in Southwest Ireland. The estate is organic and, as far as possible, ecologically sustainable. Walks around the estate to visit the farm, woodlands and gardens are just some of the pleasures guests can enjoy when they rent the castle.
We also specialise in boutique weddings and can offer a full catering service for all your occasions.
