Taobh Coille gives ready access to farm, beach and mountain walks. It stands adjacent to the Kerry Way, and has access to a walking trail to the seashore, where guests can enjoy the safe sandy beach at Kells, and great walks along Rossbeigh beach.
Taobh Coille gives a warm welcome to walkers along the Kerry Way, including a collection from the trail if required. The house dog, Kelly, is sure to help welcome all guests to Taobh Coille.
It is an ideal base for touring, and trips to the Skellig Islands can be arranged. A visit to Caherciveen, the birth place of Daniel O'Connell - known as the Liberator - can be facilitated, or guests may wish to visit Valentia Island, Portmagee and Ballinskelligs.
Guests who like to golf may wish to visit the local Glenbeigh course, or the Waterville course which lies nearby. There is fishing at Kells Bay for the anglers.
Closer to home, guests can enjoy gourmet foods at the table, or can walk down the farm with two working dogs - or the house dog, Kelly - to collect hens' eggs for their own breakfast the following morning which may then be enjoyed with homemade Irish soda bread.
The local public house is approximately 1 mile away.
