The Carraig Hotel consists of 23 bedrooms located in the town centre of Carrick On Suir in the heart of the Suir Valley, close to Waterford, Kilkenny and the coast.
The history of hospitality in The Carraig dates back to the eighteenth century having started its life as The King's Head Inn.
Today, the Carraig is the focal point of the town of Carrick-on-Suir. It is a fine hotel with 23 bedrooms and all modern facilities as well as excellence in conference facilities, dining and banqueting whilst still retaining much of its old world tradition, charm and character.
The Front Bar at the Carraig is more than a local. It is a great meeting place for morning coffee, lunch, and evening pint or just a snack. Step up the pace on Saturday and Sunday nights with live music. The Function room holds 150 seated for dinner.
The restaurant serves full Irish breakfast from 8am to 10am and an all-day breakfast is served in the Front Bar thereafter. Carvery lunch is served each day from 12:30pm to 2:30pm. The menu varies each day.
Carrick on Suir is located in the heart of the Golden Vale, with the Comeragh Mountains to the southwest and Sliabh na mBan to the North. There is excellent salmon and trout fishing on the Suir.
