The Forum - Mountmellick is located on Patrick Street in the centre of Mountmellick Town, County Laois. The hostel was previously the Presbyterian Church and Manse. The Manse building dates back to the 18th century and the Church building was constructed in 1855.
The Forum - Mountmellick was formed in the 19th century Presbyterian Church which is a protected structure. The premises comprise of the main Church building, the Manse building provides sleeping accommodation across three floors with disabled accommodation on the ground floor, which contains two single beds, with ensuite shower facilities.
The first floor provides an eight bed sleeping quarter with four double bunk beds complimented with two ensuite shower rooms. In addition, there is a twin bedroom with shared shower room with one other twin room on the second floor.
The second floor provides an eight bed sleeping quarter with four double bunk beds with ensuite shower room. In addition, there is a twin single bedroom with shared shower room with the other twin room on the first floor. Each of the twin rooms are provided with a wash hand basin.
The guests have the large Church hall to relax in with full self catering facilities. The hostel provides high quality mattresses with protectors and all bed linen is provided along with towels for each individual guest.
The premises are located in the centre of Mountmellick, with its own private parking at the rear of the premises. It provides self catering facilities using its modern commercial quality kitchen. The building is protected with emergency lighting, fire alarms and security systems to safeguard the guests. WiFi is also provided.
Free pick up can be arranged from local rail stations, Portlaois and Portarlington, minimum of two people.
The hostel provides irons, washing machine, dryer, hairdryers, secure cycle store, cots on request, self catering and prepared meals if ordered in advance. The hostel is ideal for groups.
The Forum - Mountmellick is located in the centre of town with friendly pubs all within minutes walking. The hostel is conveniently located at the foot of the Slieve Bloom Mountains with walks to suit all.
