The hotels' Bar and the restaurant were named after the revered bar Bartley Dunne's which made its home on the hotel site up until the 1990s. The Pub was noted for its eclectic clientele and for being one of the very few gay-friendly bars in Dublin in the 1970s. Punks and New Romantics made it their home in the late 70s and 80s. Bartley's promises to honour its namesake with an experience that marries the sweet spots mid-way between modern and traditional.
