Carbery Sailing offers RYA sailing courses, Wild Atlantic Way cruises and chartered sailing trips on Ireland’s beautiful Atlantic coast in West Cork.

The sailing school is based in Ahakista on West Cork’s Sheep’s Head peninsula, a European Destination of Excellence, and all practical training takes place on their Hallberg Rassy 46' yacht ‘Merlin’.

Whether you’re a novice sailor or more experienced, you’ll learn great sailing skills on the three stunning local bays. Bantry Bay, Dunmanus Bay and Roaring Water Bay offer technical challenges to suit everyone. You’ll gain practical experience and confidence as well as your RYA sailing qualifications while you’re with Carbery Sailing.

Carbery Sailing's professional and friendly instructors cater for novice sailors and for people looking to advance their sailing skills.

Train for your Start Yachting, Competent Crew, Day Skipper and Coastal Skipper sailing qualifications here, or sign up for ‘taster’ sailing weekends, milebuilding courses or chartered day trips.

West Cork is the perfect place to learn to sail, and visitors from the UK, Europe and America, love the fine scenery, fantastic food and great company they find here after a day out on the water.

Carbery Sailing's Wild Atlantic Way Cruises are an amazing way to experience Ireland's southwest coastline, for novices and experienced sailors alike. Or if a cruise is to long, take a day sail on Merlin and enjoy the scenery and sealife.
