Since its consecration in 1861 Christ Church has served the small local Church of Ireland community.
In 2012 a cross community committee was formed to protect and restore this iconic church which is the focal point of Glandore village. Since then, among other things, the tower has been restored, electricity installed and stonework repaired.
This has meant that the church is now used extensively to enrich the cultural and social life of the local area and community while maintaining its integrity as a place of worship.
Every July and August the church is the venue for an eclectic mix of events such as exhibitions, drama and musical events, historical talks, gardening talks, films etc - usually on a Friday night. See our facebook page for details.
The church is open to visitors every day during June, July, August and September from 10.00am - 6.00pm.
Wall panels outlining the history of local buildings, monuments and past events are permanently on display - except during scheduled exhibitions
Sunday service is at 10.00am in July and August and all are very welcome to attend.
