Cork City Library service includes local branches and the Central Library on Grand Parade in Cork City. The Central Library is home to the City Libraries' largest collection of materials for adults and children.

The Cork City Library service provides a network of libraries, comprising the Central Library on Grand Parade, five local libraries serving their local communities and one mobile library.

The Central Library is home to the City Libraries’ largest collections of books, periodicals, CDs, DVDs and other materials for adults and children. The Central Library delivers a library service through five public-service departments: Adult Lending, Kids and Teens, Reference, Local Studies and Music.

The Central Library also provides management and administrative services, including computer and cataloguing support, for all public-service sections administered by Cork City Libraries in local libraries as well as in the Central Library. Visitors are welcome to browse among books, periodicals, and newspapers in all the libraries. Public-access computers are available for a fee.
