Cork English College is a family run English language school located in the heart of Cork City, established over 35 years ago by Managing Director Valery Cullen.

Cork English College, established in 1978, is a family-run school specialising in Quality English language courses, personal attention and small class numbers. Its adult centres are located in the heart of the city. The main adult school occupies a restored hictorical building, offering state of the art classrooms, wi-fi, dedicated IT rooms and study & recreational areas for students. CEC provide a full range of courses for non-native English speakers, including General, Exam Preparation and Business English programmes. CEC is an authorised Cambridge, IELTS, TOEIC and BULATS Test Centre. The adult programmes run throughout the year, for both long and short term students.

Cork English College also offer Junior English and Multi-Activity Camps for students aged between 10 and 17 during the summer months. CEC have been arranging Junior Summer Activity Programmes for the past 35 years. The courses aim to be innovative and improve the students’ use and command of the English Language through classes and activities. All of the activities are fully supervised by professional trainers and they are recognised by the Department of Education. Junior groups may also avail of Winter Mini-Stay programmes. These English Language programmes are available to groups of school aged teenagers and include an optional activity course.

Students stay in both host families and residential accommodation. The benefits of host family accommodation include immersion into the traditional Irish family lifestyle and continual use and improvement of the English language. The Residential Complexes are fully supervised and located in one of the cities universities. These complexes are fully furnished. For junior students, residential accommodation is only available to group bookings.

Outside of the classroom, CEC arrange social and cultural activities for students, and include excursions to famous and historical towns and sites in the South of Ireland. Afternoon and day-trips visit Cobh, Blarney, Kinsale and Midleton Distillery to name but a few. The evening programmes introduce students to traditional Irish music and dancing, bowling and much more.

Cork city is the second city in Ireland. There is a warm friendly atmosphere in Cork and a rich and colourful heritage. The city is also famous for excellent festivals and relaxed welcoming people, so it is the ideal place to travel to in order to improve your English.
