In May 1968, East Cork Golf Club was founded when Eamonn Moloney and his wife Peg decided to evict their prize dairy herd and convert their farm into a golf course.
East Cork Golf Club is situated on the outskirts of Midelton and bordered by two rivers, the farm was an ideal location for a parklands course. On 10 November 1969 the course was officially opened. Over the years, it has matured into one of the most attractive and challenging parklands in the country. Hospitality and courtesy to all have become legendary features of East Cork Golf Club.
