Gormú Walking Tours provide gentle, story rich strolls through landscapes of West Cork on the Wild Atlantic Way.
Their Placenames Walking Tour runs daily, all year round and explores the hidden meanings of Irish placenames, the history behind them and the stories they still carry. Along the way guests enjoy an artisan picnic of West Cork produce, shared in the open air with more stories and local insights. These walks are much gentler and shorter than their hiking tours, with plenty of stops for chat and discovery. Tours are led by local guides Celine and Conor Ó Buachalla.
Each October, they also operate an immersive adventure called A Scare at Samhain as part of the Leap Scarecrow Festival where guests can enjoy a seasonal walk full of piseoga, púcaí, and things half seen in the shadows.
