Heir (Hare) Island Sailing School is a residential and day facility catering for all ages and abilities. It is based in Heir Island, County Cork.

Formerly known as Camp Roaringwater, Heir (Hare) Island Sailing School in County Cork is a residential and day facility catering for all ages and abilities.

Courses are normally run in accordance with the Irish Sailing Association curriculum but may be tailored to a group’s own needs. Families are particularly welcome where the joint learning experience is of extraordinary value.

The facility is purpose built nestling on an island in Roaringwater Bay, with some of the safest and most beautiful sailing waters in the world.

A maximum of 18 sailors are catered for with the two person Topaz dinghy and three/four person Dublin Bay Mermaid and a fleet of kayaks when weather is not suitable for sailing.

Other activities include Sea kayaking, whale and dolphin watching, seal watching, sailing lessons, sailing chartering courses
