As the name suggests the primary purpose of the walk is to gain and appreciation of nature, the countryside and the silence. Look at wild flowers, vegetation and nature. The degree of difficulty of the walk is moderate. As the tour leaves the town, the walk winds its way along the Scilly walkway, past Charles Fort, through Middle Cove to the beach at Lower Cove. The walk then can take a number of different options depending on weather conditions etc. The walk takes approximately 3 hours. Good footwear, adequate rain-gear and water are essential. There are spectacular views of the Old Head, James Fort and the open ocean. Dolphins can sometimes be seen, with the occasional seal, otter and basking shark. There is an abundance of birdlife.
