Owenahincha is an exposed sandy beach and dune system. It is a popular holiday destination, with plenty of camping and caravan sites nearby.
Owenahincha is also a great surfing spot, however the sea can get quite rough at times and is therefore not suitable for beginner surfers. There is a public car park and toilets facilities are provided and there is a lifeguard on duty during the bathing season.
Further information can be found on the noticeboard which is located at the beach.
Take the cliff edge walk from one beach to another.
Why not visit the birthplace of Micheal Collins at Woodfield or the Drombeg Stone Circle both nearby.
