Cork marks 17 May, the International Day Against Homophobia, Lesbophobia, Transphobia and Biphobia (IDAHOBIT) each year with LGBTI+ Awareness Week, reaffirming a commitment to equality, inclusion, and solidarity.
This year Cork LGBTI+ Inter Agency and Triskel Arts Centre present a special screening of the comedy drama The Mattachine Family. When their foster child reunites with his birth mother, husbands Thomas and Oscar’s paths begin to diverge.
Preceded by the short film CLAONADH (14 mins), presented in association with PRIOSMA Queer Film Festival.
There will be a wine reception at 17:00 and the screening will start at 17:30. This event is free to attend but ticketed (tickets will be available from Tuesday 12 May at 10:00).
