VIVA VHS! (18+ only) at Triskel Arts Centre, Cork, Thu 17 Sept. This free event showcases trailers from classic and cheesy films of yesteryear, vintage commercials, cinema snipes, and a special screening of the short film Knights Electric (1980).
VIVA VHS! is a salute to the king of 1980s home entertainment: the video cassette. This is a mondo gonzo collection of coming attractions from classic and cheesy movies of yesteryear, presented in a tongue-in-cheek manner. For this 12th edition of VIVA VHS!, there will also be vintage commercials, cinema snipes, and a special screening of the short film KNIGHTS ELECTRIC (1980). You have been warned.
This screening is free, but a ticket is required. Tickets will be released on Thursday 17 September at 10am.
