The Working Artist Studios in Ballydehob, County Cork, prides itself on providing an informal environment where engagement between artists, art lovers and the wider community can occur.

The Working Artist Studios in Ballydehob, County Cork, is an independent gallery and creative hub, by artists for artists, with galleries, artist studios, a multi-purpose project space and a community print room.

The Working Artist Studios is a flow of energy and a creative network of likeminded people. It is dedicated to the support of professional visual artists by providing opportunities and workspaces for local artists. The studios are open to the public on an open door policy and so if the door is open, you can go in, talk with the artist and see their work in progress.

It is a key player in local festivals and in the wider arts scene in West Cork. The Working Artist Studios offers a vibrant year long programme of exhibitions and artist talks from both emerging and established artists. The studios also host poetry nights with a number of high profile Irish and international poets.

The Working Artist Studios seeks to promote art and creativity as a viable way of life, by providing a bright, dynamic space for art to grow naturally and for the local community to connect with and experience it.

Tips from locals

Take art inspiration from Ballydehob's iconic 12 Arch Bridge at the edge of the village. This famous bridge was once a viaduct carrying trains on the narrow gauge Schull and Skibbereen Railway.
