Ionad Cois Locha, Dunlewey, County Donegal, is an educational, heritage and activity centre that will transport you back in time to a bygone era. Visitors are offered a snapshot of what life was like back in the last century. Dunlewey is a picturesque village situated in the heart of the Donegal Gaeltacht. It is nestled between majestic Mount Errigal and the stunning Poisoned Glen of the Derryveagh Mountain range. The area is steeped in history, tradition and folklore.

At Ionad Cois Locha, Dunlewey, County Donegal, enjoy a short audio visual followed by a carding, spinning and weaving demonstration. Afterwards, there is a tour of the weaver’s cottage.

A trip on the boat around Dunlewey Lake is a must which includes an audio of the folklore that surrounds the area.

There are plenty of activities for children such as rope climbing, bumping cars, paddle boats, bungee jumps, a playground, and much more.

After all the activities why not relax in their restaurant where you can enjoy a lovely cuppa or choose something from the extensive menu.
