The tour offers a seafood dining experience where visitors can taste fresh oysters straight from the farm. Participants will see how an oyster grows from a seed to jumbo size. They will also get a full explanation of the different oyster farming methods and what is involved in getting the oyster to a restaurant’s dining plate.
Guests will see a demonstration of how to shuck an oyster and have the opportunity to sample an oyster at the end of the tour.
As the tour is dependent on the tide all tours have to be pre-booked. Participants must be able to walk 300 metres at their own pace to the oyster farm. All visitors must wear weather appropriate clothing and beach appropriate footwear.
