John Molloy Limited is located in the coastal village of Ardara, County Donegal. They are manufacturers of Donegal tweed and Irish knitwear, with free factory tours and handweaving demonstrations, the Weaver's Tearoom and local crafts.

John Molloy Limited is a family run business located in the coastal village of Ardara, County Donegal, on the way from Slieve League and the scenic Glengesh Pass, a region that is famous for its rugged natural beauty, tradition in hand knitting, hand weaving, sheep farming and fishing.

The Molloy family have been involved in the textile industry in Ardara since the early 19th Century. With five generations of experience to draw on, each garment is produced in their factory with natural yarns and tells a story of ancient Ireland, its culture, its tradition and skill, which have been passed lovingly from generation to generation.

John Molloy Limited manufactures a range of men's and women's garments which are sold in fashion houses around the world. Their range embraces both traditional Irish handknit Aran fisherman sweaters and contemporary fashion knitwear and accessories, which are still handknitted in homes all over County Donegal.

John Molloy's Donegal Tweed includes fabrics, jackets, caps, rugs and ties. Come visit and enjoy a free factory visit, where you will see garments being made before your eyes. Take a little time to relax in the Weaver’s Tearoom and browse the factory shop for unique presents. A true Irish "céad míle fáilte" awaits you.
