Kokodesigns is the working studio of textile artist Karen O’Kane, which is open to the public and set in the beautiful countryside of Ramelton, County Donegal.
In Karen’s studio, she paints on silk to produce a wide variety of silk objects from lampshades to wedding dresses. You can watch Karen work, join a workshop and try it for yourself, buy Karen’s work or commission your own bespoke pieces.
Kokodesigns produce a range of pure silk originals and silk paintings are printed onto bamboo material using eco dyes at a specialised printers in County Donegal.
The collections include evening bags and scarves, silk accessories and jewellery, homeware and giftware. Karen is particularly interested in designing beautiful and functional lighting from lampshades to floor lights.
