Oideas Gael in Gleann Cholm Cille, County Donegal, offers highly acclaimed cultural programmes and Irish language courses for adults, catering for all levels from beginners to experienced speakers. Every year, participants from Ireland and worldwide enjoy learning in a fun, engaging, and immersive environment.

The Donegal Gaeltacht, with its breath taking scenery, rich heritage and warm welcome, is the setting for a memorable holiday learning experience with Oideas Gael in Gleann Cholm Cille, County Donegal.

Their engaging, practical language courses foster conversational ability and fluency, with some 35 contact hours per course. Participants benefit from fantastic teachers and many opportunities to practice the language with native speakers both inside and outside of the course setting.

Alternatively, bilingual cultural programmes span Irish traditional music and dance, hill walking, exploring the environment, painting, weaving, archaeology, geology, and much more. These courses suit those who wish to get comfortable with the language outside a classroom setting as well as capable speakers who simply wish to enjoy a particular hobby or interest.

Recreational activities such as dancing, poetry, or guest lectures take place each evening, after which participants are free to practice their Irish with people from all other levels while enjoying the craic in the local pubs.

The social format of the courses ensures that people attending on their own quickly feel comfortable and at ease within the group. Choose from week long or weekend courses.
