Located just minutes from Slieve League, Studio Donegal in Kilcar, County Donegal, offers visitors the opportunity to browse a handweaving mill which has been operating for over 100 years, to tour the facilities, shop and watch the weavers at work.

Studio Donegal is a family run hand weaving and clothing manufacturing business located in the picturesque village of Kilcar, County Donegal. Committed to preserving and promoting the original hand weaving skills passed down from generation to generation in the remote mountainous region of South West Donegal. Cloths are skillfully woven in the workshop where clothing, bedspreads, wraps and a variety of accessories are created. Visitors are invited to tour the facilities and observe their hand weavers at work Monday to Friday.

The factory shop sells tweed throws, men’s and ladies clothing, hats and accessories, as well as Donegal Yarns knitting wool and a selection of contemporary and traditional knitwear.
