An evening at the James Joyce Centre celebrating three books by Cypriot writer and translator Lily Michaelides.

The James Joyce Centre, in collaboration with the Embassy of Cyprus in Dublin, the Holy Orthodox Metropolis of Ireland, the Macedonian Cultural Association of Ireland “Aristotle” and the Federation of Cypriots of Ireland, cordially invites you to the presentation of the books by Cypriot writer and translator Lily Michaelides (Arena; HIM, stories of men; Self-portrait) on Tuesday, 28 April 2026 at 6pm.

The evening will commence with welcome speeches by Darina Gallagher and Thomais Kakouli-Duarte, followed by a conversation between Dr Alev Adil, translator David Connolly, and poet Jessica Traynor. Lily will read the three texts in the original Greek alongside an English translation by tenor and actor Morgan Crowley (piano).
