Join Wild Rover Tours on a one day tour to the Cliffs of Moher, in County Clare, located on Ireland’s wild rugged Atlantic coast. The tour which takes in the beauty of Ireland's Wild Atlantic Way, also stops in Galway City, described by the writer WB Yeats as The Venice of the West.

The Cliffs of Moher in County Clare were once voted as the seventh most wonderful heritage site in the world, in a global poll conducted by UNESCO.

The Cliffs of Moher, Atlantic Edge Ocean Walk & Galway City Day Tour with Wild Rover Tours, departs from Dublin City. The tour will travel through the counties of Kildare and Limerick before arriving in County Clare. Pass by Bunratty Castle, a medieval Norman fortress, and on through Lahinch along the Atlantic coast, a surfing and golfing destination.

The premium admission ticket admits the visitor to the exciting interpretive centre and visitor experience at the Cliffs of Moher. Situated in a large domed cave, view photographs, exhibits, displays and experiences. Continue through the dome to the audio visual theatre and experience a virtual reality cliff face adventure known as The Ledge, allowing the visitor to experience life at the cliff face both above and below sea level. Outside the centre enjoy a walk along the cliff face and experience the exhilarating freedom and the power of nature at work. Fresh air blows in from the ocean, and the awe inspiring sheer height of the cliffs when looking over the edge to the Atlantic Ocean will remain in your memory for a long time.

Visit O'Brien's Tower which stands proudly on a headland near the cliffs and see the Aran Islands and Galway Bay in the distance.

From the Cliffs of Moher, the tour travels deep into The Burren. Enjoy an amazing scenic drive along the edge of Europe and through the Burren National Park. See unique flora, numerous ancient monuments, megalithic tombs, fairy forts and Celtic crosses. The tour stops in The Burren so visitors can enjoy a walk along the Atlantic ledge and experience this amazing lunar landscape and wonderful countryside.

Continuing around Galway Bay towards Galway City the tour passes Blackhead Lighthouse and continues through Kinvara fishing village famed for its traditional boats called Galway Hookers. Pass Dunguire Castle, built in 1520 and originally the royal palace of the King of Connaught. There are many stories to be told about this part of Ireland and their dedicated professional tour guides will involve you with everything you see.

Next stop is Galway City, the city of the tribes. Take a 30 minute guided walking tour and learn about the medieval city and its Spanish trading connections. Afterwards, explore the narrow musical streets, boutiques and cafes.

Returning to Dublin there is onboard entertainment with extracts from Riverdance and other Irish cultural pieces.
