Crafted Encounters: Japanese Water-Based Woodblock Printing (Mokuhanga)
Dublin City, Co. Dublin
23 July 2026
Join us on Thursday, July 23rd at the National Museum of Ireland, Kildare Street to learn Mokuhanga as part of the Dublin By Dusk initiative.

This 2-hour workshop introduces traditional Japanese kento registration, Mokuhanga printing, tools, carving, and printing techniques, including bokashi. Participants learn to prepare and print a block using watercolour and nori, creating a take-home print. Inspired by the Albert Bender Asian Art collection at Collins Barracks.
