Join Chester Beatty for a fun and exploratory session about the history of zines as objects, the subcultures they represented and the many themes they explored as a form of alternative media.
Used for self-expression, why not create your own zine using mixed-media techniques, folding and thread binding. Inspired by the Manuscript and the Mind exhibition and other objects in the Chester Beatty collection, we will not only explore the zines as an art form but also learn about the techniques that help a reader to navigate a text.
