Dónal is a founding member of the group Danú, and spent time touring the US in the early years of his career. He released his first solo guitar album ‘Close To Home’ in 2006, which The Boston Globe dubbed “a sweet masterpiece of melodic grace and riveting groove”. Since the passing of his father in 2009, he has focused his attention on the songs he grew up with, while keeping the Clancy tradition alive with his solo performances.
