Their total membership exceeds 80 and whilst the majority come from the Dublin area, they have members from all parts of the island of Ireland. To attract new talent and younger members, the Committee has, since 2016, operated an Open Submission system. Each year a number of paintings are selected from digital images submitted. These works, from non-members, greatly enhance their exhibitions. An Open Submission prize is awarded to one of those artists selected through their Open Call.
