The late Ronnie Drew once described George as having a “voice beyond his years.” He formed George Murphy & The Rising Sons after moving to the US, with the band combining traditional Irish instrumentation with electric guitars, bass, and percussion, creating a unique sound that appeals to a wide audience. Their performances feature a mix of original songs and fresh interpretations of classic folk tunes, making their shows lively and engaging.
