Gerard Byrne Studio, Art Gallery & Artist Studio is dedicated to showcasing the work of Gerard Byrne, one of Ireland’s leading visual artists renowned for his command of the plein air tradition and contemporary Impressionist painting.

In 2017, Byrne founded the Gerard Byrne Studio, Art Gallery & Artist Studio in Ranelagh, just a short walk from St. Stephen’s Green. Located in the heart of Dublin’s historic South Georgian Quarter, the studio serves as a living space, creative hub, and four room commercial gallery, offering visitors an extraordinary and immersive experience. Through carefully curated exhibitions, the Gerard Byrne Studio, Art Gallery & Artist Studio has become known for presenting Byrne’s art in a way that resonates deeply with collectors, curators and critics alike.

Gerard Byrne, born in Dublin in 1958, is Ireland’s leading modern Impressionist. His expansive body of work, developed over 35 years, demonstrates versatility in the contemporary Irish art scene. Byrne’s oil paintings are distinctive for their vibrant palette, expressive brushwork, and skillful contrasts of light and shadow, elements that evoke the work of the Impressionist masters. His artwork is held in collections across Ireland and worldwide, including the collections of the Irish Government, Irish Embassies, and The Citadelle Art Museum in Texas, USA.
