The James Joyce Centre cordially invites you to a celeberation of an Irish translation and art exhibition based on James Joyce's "The Dead."

On Thurdsay, 15 October 2026 at 6.30pm, we will celebrate Na Mairbh, the Irish translation of The Dead (Coiscéim 2026) by Irene Duffy Lynch and an exhibition of charcoal drawings inspired by The Dead by Penny Stuart with her accompanying art book: Líníocht le Penny Stuart ar NA MAIRBH le James Joyce : Penny Stuart Draws The DEAD by James Joyce.

We will hear music of James Joyce's era and talks by guest speakers.

The event is free but booking is essential. Doors open at 6pm.

The James Joyce Centre is supported by the Department of Culture, Communications and Sport.
