National Drawing Day: Mixed Media Drawing
Dublin City, Co. Dublin
16 May 2026
Join Chester Beatty for a workshop for adults exploring how to combine mark-making techniques to build rich observational drawings.

Working from a still life arrangement, we will experiment with a variety of materials including charcoal, fine-liner pens, putty erasers, frottage textures and collage elements. We will also learn how artists observe form, light, and texture while developing their own expressive drawing approach.

No prior experience is required – this workshop is suitable for all levels, from beginners to those looking to expand their drawing practice. Limited to 15 participants, booking required. €30 per person, all materials provided.

Readers are advised to check with the venue before relying on the details published here.
