Operating the only artificial or dry slope facility in the Republic of Ireland, The Ski Club of Ireland are situated in Kilternan in South County Dublin. They can be found off of exit 15 off the M50.
The facility boasts Snowflex Slopes, a soft carpet-like surface good for skiers but even better for snowboarders. Choose from the 180-metre-long main slope, the 130-metre-long intermediate slope and two nursery slopes for beginners. The slopes are serviced by two Poma ski lifts.
The hire of equipment is included in the price. Tuition is available for every standard of skier with advance booking being essential for classes. Tickets may be purchased from the club for use of the slope for experienced skiers.
Tubing is the latest craze for Kids at the Ski Club. Using big specially-designed tyres for swooshing down the Snowflex slopes, this is a great draw for Children’s Birthday Parties, or add it on to a Kids’ skiing class. Tubing Parties can be booked on Saturday at 1pm or by special arrangement during week day afternoons.
Group rates are available. Snowboarding classes and free riding are also available. Membership offers discounts and special benefits.
Reopening in September 2020. Open September to March.
