Slow Looking Tour - Revolutionary Women: Representations through Soldiers and Chiefs
Dublin City, Co. Dublin
25 April 2026
Family friendly
Free to visit
Explore the roles of revolutionary women in Ireland’s conflicts on a calm, reflective slow‑looking tour through Soldiers and Chiefs.

Join us for a reflective slow‑looking tour of Soldiers and Chiefs – The Irish at War, exploring the lives and legacies of women involved in Ireland’s major conflicts from 1803 through the 1916 Rising, War of Independence and Civil War.

Guided by a Museum educator, you’ll pause at selected artefacts to consider how these events shaped both participants and civilians. This gentle, conversational tour invites you to slow down, look closely and engage mindfully with the exhibition.

Tours will begin in Reception at Collins Barracks. Booking is not required. However, places are limited and will be offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Children must be supervised at all times while on the premises.
