Located in the west of Ireland, Bearna Golf Club, County Galway, is in a scenic area, with commanding views of Galway Bay, the Burren and the Aran Islands. It was carved out of a typical Connemara landscape of granite rock, bog, gorse and heather. The result is a challenging course of outstanding quality and distinctive character.

Bearna Golf Club is 20 minutes by car from Galway bus station. The club has benefitted from the inspired creativity of its well known designer, RJ Browne, in the layout of tees and sand based greens. Built on 250 acres of Connemara moorland, the course measures approximately 6900 yards. The design has resulted in generously proportioned fairways, elevated tee boxes and some splendid carries over the invigorating countryside.

Water comes into play at 13 of the 18 holes and great care has been taken to construct extra large greens with subtle burrows that will test even the best golfer. The final four holes are an especially satisfying end to the course's memorable experience.
