More from visitors like you
Discover the landscape and see a wealth of flora and fauna. Burren Explore Camino walks and retreats takes you on a mindful, peaceful journey along the cow paths of the Burren, around the ruins of a convent associated with Corcomroe Abbey and a climb to 'Sliabh Ghairbh' or rough mountain.

What better way to destress, relax and explore everything that is wonderful about the Burren, through private lands and over mountains while enjoying the spectacular views of Galway Bay and discovering the unique flora and the fauna of the Burren.

All this is yours as your guide Anna accompanies you around the ruins of a convent and climbs with you to the top of Sliabh Ghairbh, explaining the placenames or logainmneacha, folklore or bealoideas, showing you the various varieties of stonewalling crisscrossing along the mountain, the unique flowers, the biodiversity of 'Páirc na Liadhas' (field of the grey habits). See the wild, feral goats in their own habitat of the Burren.

A Burren Explore Camino Walk can involve a stroll, climb or a leisurely ramble through the ages and over land, Giving you the chance to take time out for meditation and reflection while enjoying the majestic views and the fresh Burren air, either alone, or with a guide. Follow the ancient tracks and paths etched out by our ancestors. Enhance your wellness and spirituality while walking this Burren landscape, where St Colman lived and connected with King Guaire of Dunguaire Castle.

This is a unique, spiritual journey where you forget all your troubles and worries.
