Faherty Aran Islands One-Day Tour departs from Galway City and travels on to Rossaveal, one of the oldest fishing villages in the West. From here, we will be crossing the Atlantic by ferry to Inis Mór (Inishmore), the largest of the Aran Islands, which takes approx. 35 minutes.
While on Inis Mór (Inishmore), we will be visiting Dun Aonghasa fort and cliffs, which stand 300 feet above sea level. There are restaurants at the base of the fort, as well as a Visitor Centre and shops, and we spend some time here.
We will visit the Seven Churches next, then on to Maggie Danins Cottage, Kilmurvey beach and Man of Aran Cottage. We then go down the low road towards the seal colony, and back to Kilronan pier for our return journey to Rossaveal.
On the return journey, we will be taking the coast road back to Galway City, passing through Inverin, Spiddal, Barna and Salthill.
