Galway Trails is a tour company specialising in historic walks in the old town of Galway by Jim Ward, an experienced and accredited tour guide who is a native of Galway. Jim also organises trips to the surrounding scenic spots such as the Cliffs of Moher, the Burren, the Aran Islands and Connemara.

Galway Trails features the Galway walkabout, a guided walk through the winding medieval streets of Galway City. Your guide Jim will reveal a story and history around every turn. Alternatively, explore the local sites and stories connected with the 1916 Easter Rising in Galway, in which Jim's late grandfather was a volunteer. As a fluent speaker of Irish, Jim welcomes those interested in the language.

• Galway Whiskey Trail (discover the 'rare ould stuff' in the company of expert Jim Ward) - Meet where you are staying or in Galway City centre, (walking) 3 hours

• Galway James Joyce Tour (James Joyce Tour covers a general literary tour of Galway with focus on Joyce whose wife, Nora Barnacle came from Galway City) - Meet in Galway City centre, (walking) 1.5 hours
