Visit Kylemore Abbey and see its magnificent Victorian walled garden and neo-Gothic church in majestic Connemara. Experience this truly stunning destination in the west of Ireland.

Kylemore Abbey is famous for its postcard perfect scenery, the iconic image of a baronial castle reflected in a Connemara lake. The Benedictine nuns of Kylemore invite visitors to experience this magnificent place. From the love story that started it all, to engineering initiatives, model farms, royal visits, and the Abbey's former role as a girls boarding school, learn about Kylemore’s rich history.

Choose one of the woodland or lakeshore walks and meander through the stunning walled garden while the restored Head Gardener’s house and the Garden Bothy house allow for a glimpse into the Victorian era.

Drop by Mitchell’s Café or the Tea House for some home cooked food made from the recipes of the Benedictine nuns. Check out the craft shop to pick up products handmade at Kylemore Abbey including pottery and chocolates. Bring the kids to see the giant's wishing stone, and meet the adorable Connemara ponies and pet pigs.
