St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church Celebrates Galway’s Culture and Heritage featuring a mediaeval circus performance, traditional Irish music and dance, arts and crafts, food and children's activities on Saturday 17 August from 11am to 4pm.

Watch an exciting display of fencing and combat, learn circus tricks and tightrope walking, learn about the dramatic history of the church before getting a picture of yourself in mediaeval costume or in the stocks, then see the first book translated into Irish and try out Cupla Focail for yourself.

Learn all about the complex and interesting craft history of Galway from the Aran Sweater, Claddagh Ring and Corrib Lace to practical demonstrations of wool spinning, medieval book binding and calligraphy.

Music lovers can enjoy sean nós and mediaeval music and dance, and learn some dance moves themselves.

Admission and activities are FREE with drinks and treats also available.
