Silverstrand Beach is located in Barna, County Galway. It is a shallow and sandy beach ideal for families and great for swimming at high tide.
Silverstrand Beach faces directly into Galway Bay providing spectacular views for visitors. It is located on the outskirts of Galway City and is approximately 0.25km in length. Facilities include a car park, toilets and a picnic area. There is also wheelchair access to the beach.
The beach is lifeguarded during the summer months. More information can be found on the noticeboard located at the beach.

Take a stroll in the nearby Barna Woods, look out for St Enda’s Holy Well which is said to have healing powers.
