Stiúideo na Coiríbe is located in County Galway, in a purpose built art school beside the studio of artist Jim Kavanagh. The school is located by the scenic shores of Lough Corrib approximately 12 kilometres north of Galway City.

Stiúideo na Coiríbe is a long established art school run by artist Jim Kavanagh. Jim has been painting for over 30 years and has lectured at third level for several years, before becoming a fulltime painter.

The school is located near the historic village of Annaghdown, County Galway, and its scenic setting on the shores of Lough Corrib, provides plenty of inspiration. The school runs term time classes as well as weekend workshops in the summer months of July and August. These workshops cover topics such as landscape painting, old master techniques, portrait painting, impressionist painting, etc. Drawing and oil painting are also covered in the workshops where the emphasis is on learning, while at the same time relaxing and having some fun. Classes are kept small for maximum tuition and typically would have no more than 10 people.

Materials, lunches and refreshments are included in the cost of the workshops. All levels of ability are catered for.
