West Ireland Cycling offers three non-guided cycling tours which all take in the breathtaking scenery that the west of Ireland has to offer.

The Connemara Express is a seven day self-led tour. It is a real treat for those with a sense of adventure and a roaming imagination. The tour takes cyclists on an inspiring journey that begins in Galway City and twists through the wild, haunting scenery of Connemara and the Wild Atlantic Way. The region is rich in ancient culture, tradition, and stunning natural beauty. With its brooding mountains, elegant castles, serene lakes, windswept shores and delicate flora, Connemara is the stuff of legends.

The Burren Way is a seven day tour where cyclists will get to explore the unique limestone region of The Burren and discover its enchanting array of geological wonders. The route has been devised carefully so that none of its unspoilt charms are missed. From its stacked hillsides and stark limestone pavements, to its disappearing streams and hidden orchids, The Burren is an enigmatic landscape that must be seen to be believed. Cyclists will also call upon the far-flung Aran Islands, where slippery boulders become seals before disappearing into the sea.

The Expressway is a 10 day tour which includes aspects of both the Burren Way and Connemara Express. It gives cyclists the opportunity to immerse themselves in a world of horned goats, wild horses, starry skies, shimmering lakes and sublime mountains.

All tours include B&B accommodation and full Irish breakfast, bicycle hire with pump, lock, and repair kit, ferry tickets to the Aran Islands, luggage transfers, road maps and transfers between towns and cities when necessary.
