The Charles Haughey Memorial sits on the pier in Dingle Town in County Kerry. It is in honour of former Taoiseach, Charles Haughey.
On the southern fringe of the Wild Atlantic Way, in the fishing town of Dingle, County Kerry, a tribute monument to the former three times Taoiseach, Charles Haughey, sits proudly on the pier.
Dingle Fishermen's Association unveiled a sculpture in honour of the former Taoiseach in recognition not just for the support they felt he had given them, but to recognise the great affinity Mr Haughey had for the Dingle Peninsula.
The bronze relief statue was created by Dublin sculptor Nicola Kyle and is offset in a limestone plinth designed by Michael McTigue from County Clare.
