The Church of Saint John the Evangelist in Tralee, County Kerry, was founded in the 13th century and is one of the town’s oldest buildings.
The Church of Saint John the Evangelist has beautiful examples of stained glass windows, one of which is the Masonic window erected in 1871. It has a baptismal font in situ since 1623 and is still in use today. The church has many other treasures and is a hidden gem in the heart of Tralee.
All visitors are welcome to explore the church and grounds. There are free guided tours Wednesdays to Saturdays. Donations for the up keep of the church are welcome. For larger groups, please email in advance.
