Coomanaspic Pass offers spectacular panoramic views.
The views from Coomanaspic Pass are breathtaking. It is possible to see over both sides of the peninsula, with dramatic cliff faces that drop straight to the sea.
On one side are Portmagee village, the main departure point for boat trips to the Skelligs islands, and Valentia Island, one of Ireland’s most westerly points, joined to the mainland by a bridge over the Portmagee Channel.
On the other side are the Skellig Islands and Ballinskelligs (Ba Na Scealg), an area where Irish is the everyday language and villagers keep the Irish cultural traditions alive.
