Courtney’s Bar have been serving pints for three centuries to appreciative locals and visitors alike. The classic and much photographed frontage is now protected, whilst the bare wood interior retains the old world atmosphere of the traditional “Teach Tairbhne”.
Courtney’s Bar takes particular pride in its offering of international beers with over 30 now listed including Erdinger (Germany), Budvar (Czech Republic) and Tiger (Singapore). The pub is also included in the Ireland Whiskey Trail, specialising in an equally large selection of Irish and international whiskeys unrivalled in these parts.
Well attended folk and traditional music sessions are held midweek throughout the summer months with an acoustic rock session on Friday nights throughout the year. An outside seating area provides a welcome option for those who want to enjoy the long summer evenings or the crisp winter nights, over a drink with a fellow visitor or with one of the many locals.
