Dooks Beach is a coastal beach just a short distance from Glenbeigh Village in County Kerry. Part of the Wild Atlantic Way driving route, it can be found as a short detour just off the Ring of Kerry road.

Dooks Beach is a beautiful sheltered sandy beach, situated on the Ring of Kerry scenic drive and a mere 5kms from Glenbeigh Village. It is also located right beside the renowned Dooks Golf Links course.

The beach and surrounding area is home to the internationally endangered species of the Natterjack Toad.

It is often said that Dooks Beach is hard to find but harder to forget. It offers some beautiful views of the Dingle Peninsula, Inch Beach, the nearby Cromane and Rossbeigh Beaches and further in the distance, the Blasket Islands. The beach itself is a wonderfully sheltered sandy cove, and more often than not it is pretty quiet, offering a great opportunity for a nice beach walk with spectacular views.

Tips from locals

A short drive to nearby Glenbeigh Village and you will discover the magical world of Glenbeigh Fairy Forest, a forest trail walk home to dozens of little fairy houses.
