Fenit Cycleway
FenitCo. Kerry
Cycling
The Fenit Cycleway in County Kerry contrasts the diverse nature of touring along the Fenit peninsula, with panoramic views of Tralee Bay and the quiet rural landscape of the area.

The Fenit Cycleway in County Kerry departs Tralee along the R551, but shortly after leaving the town, the route quickly branches left to the coastal RS58 in the direction of Spa and the bustling port village of Fenit. Here cyclists will find a mixture of commercial and leisure craft. It is also an ideal place to have a refreshment and enjoy a pleasant stroll along the pier.

To get back on route after leaving the harbour, cyclists must retrace their steps for approximately 1km until they reach the signpost for "Fenit Cycleway", directing cyclists left and through a network of country roads, until they arrive at Ardfert. This hedge-lined road moves away from the coastline and is relatively traffic-free. At Ardfert cyclists must take a right turn on to the R551 and back to Tralee which is only a gentle ride away.

The route is flat with light to moderate traffic and approximately 26km.
